Bereavement and Probate Cheshire

We at Andrew, Hilditch's have been assisting people to clear houses, sheds, garages,

lofts, gardens and offices for many years. Our business was established 150 years ago in 1866. 150 YEARS = RELIABILITY, TRUST, EXCELLENCE IN VALUE OF SERVICE, SENSITIVITY, GOODWILL, WORD OF MOUTH.

When we are (instructed to) asked to clear a house, we will at first place our customer

at ease as this can all to often be a very, very stressful period. Then we suggest a visit to the property, often the first question is "How much will this cost me?"

Well, firstly a visit is FREE, without obligation and with no sense of urgency unless this is required.

When we visit the house we estimate 'sensitively' the value of the contents and then subtract the cost of removal (labour) and unsaleable items, bearing in mind whether a waste skip is needed or if the van(s) will suffice.

Therefore the costs might be: Removal and Waste.

Five out of ten jobs we carry out we PAY the client as the value of the contents exceeds the costs!

During the course of our 150 years establishment we are constantly appointed by solicitors and estate agents to act for them (and others) in the case of Probate.

Probate often includes the obligation of a Valuation (by HMRC) of the 'Deceased's' effects whether they may be a couple of diamond rings or an entire house full of furniture. Our specialists have the capability to appraise/value items from Old Master Paintings to Grand Father Clocks. Just in case we can't help you we will be sure to refer you to the right people.
